In 1902 in Milan, after Doctor Cesare Scotti's initiative, Plasmon was born in Italy, with the name of Sindacato italiano del Plasmon. During that same year, import and marketing of pure Plasmon first take place. This ingredient is used to produce the famous biscuits, as well as Baby Pasta and cocoa with Plasmon flavour.
In 1916 the name of the company changes to Società del Plasmon.
1920 is when the first Plasmon Milk formulas are born.
In 1932 Rice and Wheat Cream are first produced and during the same year, the first plant in Via Archimede 10, Milan is opened for production. 1932 also marks the start of Export abroad: Plasmon products are sold in Egypt and Brasil.
The war in Africa causes a sudden stop of import from Germany and England. Therefore, in 1936 Plasmon production is totally made in Italy.
The bombing of World War II in 1943 destroys the plant in Via Archimede, Milan and until 1946, the production plant is moved to a temporary location.
In 1948, to tackle the market's growing needs, the first biscuit's automatic production is implemented: a team of 7 women is able to produce 5.500 boxes of 180g of biscuits, each per day.
Plasmon's products are enjoyed by everyone, both adults and children.
In 1952, From Pasta to Rice Cream and Biscuits: Italian's children grow up with Plasmon.
In 1953 the construction of the new office situated in Via Cadolini starts and in 1956 it is fully operational.
In 1955, During this year, the first Baby Pasta Semolino, Rice Cream and Plasmon Biscuits are produced in the newest plant in Via Cadolini.

Plasmon launches the wholewheat Rice Cream Plasmon flavoured, called Primoris, the baby food in jar David - Plasmon and Aliplasmon, a pre - cooked product made from rice and cocoa, as well as Ergoplasmon, a dairy supplement.
In 1967, Junior product range, which targets older children, is born and in 1968 the first dietary and low - lipidic Plasmon cheese is launched.
In 1969, Production of Plasmolac, a powder milk formula for infants, is initiated. During the same year, Latina's plant, one of the most safe and technologically advanced of Europe, is finally opened.
La Società del Plasmon puts out Nuovo Plasmon.
In 1973, Plasmon's soups are launched: a full meal available in many varieties, enabling parents to have different options in changing children's menu.
In 1974, baby food in jars with fruit are first launched: they are made of fruit completed with the right dose of Vitamin C, sugar and Plasmon.
La Società del Plasmon changes its name o Plasmon Dietetici Alimentari S.p.A.
Plasmon launches bebifrutt in practical glass bottles, made of fruit and completed with Vitamin C, no dying or preservatives, and baby food in jars with meat, which are a full meal, available in 5 different and tasty recipes.
To keep on ensuring the best quality and safety of infant food, despite the issues arising from contaminants, Plasmon gives life to a unique and never seen before project. The Program Oasi Ecologica is in fact an innovative system based on quality and complete traceability of the ingredients used to produce infant food. From this point on, Plasmon takes care of all the phases of the supply chain: from the selection of fields and structures, to the breedings, transportation and processing of raw materials.

In order to offer a point of contact to consumers, Plasmon creates a Customer Service division: a direct and free line to answer every query of parents.
In 1994, Plasmon launches the first Growing up Milk formula, suitable for children from 1 to 3 years of age.
In 1996, Plasmon product range is enriched with new varieties: Cereal Cream, Bebifrutt in the new biberon bottle, baby food in jars with fish and herbal tea.
In 1997, Plasmon takes a step further by getting recognition on the validity of the system Oasi Ecologica for products made of fruit, baby food in jars and juices, from an external and indipendent institution, CSQA. It is the first case in Italy of product certification, involving the whole Supply Chain.
In 1998, Plasmon enters the World Wide Web, in order to be closer to mother's needs, by offering an additional point of contact with the company.
Plasmon celebrates its 100 years with different events.
2007 marks a year of evolution. Plasmon launches a wide range of flavours of the iconic product: the Plasmon Biscuit Cocoa flavoured. Thought for your child's growth, it is perfect at breakfast or as a tasty snack.
Plasmon takes palm oil out of the whole biscuit range, proving once again its ability to listen to consumer's requests. Nutri - mune is launched, the newest Milk Formula with the exclusive fermented milk with L. Paracasei CBA L74. Plasmon keeps growing along with its consumers. This is how Biscotto dei Grandi comes to life, in two variants Chocolate and Cereals, making Plasmon a brand for both little ones and grown ups.
In 2018, Plasmon launches the new campaign Creature Misteriose, showing once again the proximity of the brand to mothers and children, during their growth.
On March 23rd 2019 Plasmon signs a Protocol Agreement with the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies (MIPAAF) . The protocol sets forth with both parties' commitment to sustain the Italian Agricultural chain Made in Italy for infant food, through the development and use of a recognizability seal to be applied on infant food, at guarantee of quality and traceability of the production chain (seal for private and optional use).
It is important for Plasmon to be transparent on quality and origin of the ingredients, through a journey across different areas and production methods of the brand's products.
